Sipping on your morning cuppa but feel as if it dehydrates you?

You’re not going crazy – apparently coffee and tea have a similar effect!

If you drink coffee ensure you drink more water as the caffeine compound found in coffee (and tea!) have diuretic properties. Diuretic meaning a stimulant that causes you to urinate more frequently – meaning more liquid and consequential hydration leaving your body.

Whilst coffee and tea don’t necessarily dehydrate you – they do create that sensation in the body. So do your self a favor and carry a water bottle with you the next time you go out on your coffee break!
