The Pig occupies the last (12th) position in the Chinese Zodiac. You are a “Pig Chinese Zodiac native” if you are born in one of these years: 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019 .

According to the chinese astrology , 2019 is a great year to make money, and a good year to invest! 2019 is going to be full of joy, a year of friendship and love for all the zodiac signs; an auspicious year because the Pig attracts success in all the spheres of life.

A old friend from my internship days in China was visiting for 2 weeks. She had just finished her PHD and needed some time to wind down.  I decided that Tasmania was worth a visit. I had not been back for over 12 years. I nearly cancelled the trip due to the bushfires however the smoke had cleared from Hobart when we arrived.
We picked up local honey from Mount Wellington and took a walk on 7 mile beach.

I spent the start of Chinese New Year in Tasmania this year eating seafood , Tasmania oysters, scollops and abalone shashimi.
We drove along the stunning East Coast and spent time at Milton’s vineyard on overlooking their vines drinking their sparkling, home made baguette and steak tartare was on the menu served by a sweet French chef Sophie.
Sunset at Freycinet lodge at 830pm was one of the best sunsets I had ever seen.

Although my trip was only 3.5 days I felt I had been away for a full week.
I realised that it is important to get back to nature and swimming everyday in surprisingly warm waters is my happy place.
I am looking forward to going back.
