Whenever I travel to Asia and stay at the Shangri-La hotels my favorite breakfast food is congee.


Brown rice congee is a variation of this.

In this colder weather it is a hearty breakfast meal.

Shitake is a great addition to boost the immune system during winter.

You can also cook this in the rice cooker using all the quantities.


Then you will not have to watch it on the stove.
