Endometriosis is a condition where the endometrial tissue starts to grow abnormally and outside uterus and not lining the internal walls of the uterine cavity. It is commonly seen in the pelvic cavity such as fallopian tubes, ovaries, peritoneum, and bladder. The shedding of the endometrial tissue leads to lesions and scarring tissues to form.

Pain is the major symptom related to endometriosis which can range from mild to severe. It can manifest during intercourse or bowel movements. Other symptoms includes cramping, irritable bowel and inflammation, abnormal bleeding, clotting, longer cycles.
