As the year gently draws to a close, I want to pause and say thank you 💛
Thank you for your trust, your support, and your ongoing commitment to investing in your health and wellbeing.
You are the reason I continue to study, refine my skills, and stay deeply curious about how we can support the body more precisely and compassionately. This work truly matters to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to share it with you.
🌟 Reflections on the Year
This year has been one of growth, learning, and deep connection.
We’ve continued to support our community through thoughtful care, education, and accessible offerings — helping more people prioritise their wellbeing during busy and often demanding times.
It’s been a year that reinforced the importance of listening closely, individualising care, and staying grounded in both tradition and evidence-informed practice.
🌿Expanding Our Care
This year, we were delighted to expand our supportive offerings by welcoming naturopathy with Anastasia Zafiropoulous 🌱
Her integrative approach has added another meaningful layer of personalised care for those seeking natural, holistic support.
Anastasia also works with Bach flower remedies and herbal formulations, which are commonly used to support emotional balance and are often chosen by those experiencing anxiety, sleep disturbances, or periods of emotional overwhelm.
We also introduced Trinity, a beautifully crafted Tasmanian-made natural skincare range 🤍
These consciously formulated products align closely with our philosophy — gentle, clean, and supportive solutions that nurture the body from the outside in.
🌟 Case of the Year
One of the most meaningful moments this year involved a very young patient — an 8-month-old baby, born prematurely, who was experiencing neurosensory hearing challenges.
Following recent neurological training, I incorporated laser acupuncture, focusing on the auditory line of the scalp, as part of a carefully considered and gentle supportive care approach, provided alongside the baby’s existing medical care.
After 14 treatments, follow-up hearing assessments showed results returning within normal hearing ranges for age.
The medical team involved noted the change with genuine surprise, and the baby’s mum shared — joyfully — that her little one now appears to respond even to the softest sounds.
While every case is unique and outcomes can vary, this experience was a powerful reminder of the potential role supportive therapies may play alongside conventional care, particularly when the nervous system is still developing.
Moments like these reinforce why ongoing study, precision, and collaboration across disciplines matter so deeply.
🌊 Community and families at the Heart
To our Bondi community — you are always at the heart of what we do.
We’re here to support you, step by step, season after season.
To our Jewish community, friends, and family, we send protection, love, and light for the coming year.
🌿 A Gentle Evidence-Based Note
Chinese medicine is commonly used to support people experiencing stress-related symptoms and nervous system dysregulation, with ongoing research continuing to explore its role in overall wellbeing.

💛 Looking Ahead to the New Year
The year ahead brings exciting learning opportunities, including advanced neurological studies in Burgundy, France, alongside three highly respected doctors specialising in acupuncture, auriculotherapy, and neurology 📚🧠
This continued learning allows us to refine our approach and bring thoughtful, supportive care back to our community.
Thank you for being part of this journey and wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a nourishing New Year.
With gratitude,
Houng and Eastern Therapies Team
