Creighton Model Fertility Care System

The CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare™ System (CrMS) is based on thirty years of research. It unravels the mystery of the menstrual and fertility cycle.

It is a standardized modification of the Billings Ovulation Method and the system is built on research, education and service

Research leading to the development of the Creighton Model System began in 1976 and the system was first fully described in 1980.  The research on this system continues to  the present day and it is based on scientific understanding and validity.

In the CrMS, fertility is observed as a part of health, not disease.

By learning this system a woman has the knowledge to know when she is most fertile. It provides women the added benefit of being able to monitor and maintain their procreative and gynecologic health over a lifetime.

The CrMS relies upon the standardized observation and charting of biological markers that are essential to a woman’s health and fertility. These ‘biomarkers” tell the couple when they are naturally fertile and infertile, allowing the couple to use the system  to achieve  pregnancy..

In the CrMS, external observations of the biomarkers such as cervical mucus, the presence of menstrual bleeding and the days when no discharge is present (dry days) are charted.

By learning to chart these signs, the woman is able to obtain pertinent information on the phases of fertility and infertility and the state of the her procreative and gynaecologic health.
