Jamie Allan recently completed a 3 month long internship in Nanjing, China. He spent his time there learning from dermatology and spinal specialists, overseeing a large number of cases. In the dermatology clinic, he observed a vast array of skin conditions ranging from eczema to psoriasis to acne, to name a few. He worked under the head of the Dermatology department at the Third Municipal TCM Hospital of Nanjing, Dr. Shi, who mentored the students over the course of their time with her, sharing her knowledge and experience. Jamie then went on to working with one of the busiest acupuncturists in the hospital, Dr. Chen, a spinal specialist. He saw over one hundred patients every day, treating a large number of different conditions by using large amounts of moxa and focusing his needle treatments on the areas close and in-between the spinal vertebra.
